Recipe makes 6 Servings
2 Tsp olive oil
1 medium carrot, peeled and shredded
1 zucchini, shredded
3/4 cup(s) onion, fine chopped
4 button mushrooms, fine chopped
1 Lb ground turkey
1/2 cup(s) Hill Country Fare Whole Wheat Bread Crumbs
1 large eggs
1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
6 whole wheat hamburger buns
1 lettuce
1 tomato, sliced
1 Tsp mustard
1 Tsp mayonnaise

Heat a large heavy-bottom skillet over medium heat for 3 minutes.

Add olive oil,carrot, zucchini, onion, and mushrooms and stir-fry for 5 minutes. Place vegetables in a mixing bowl and allow to cool for 5 minutes.

Add turkey, bread crumbs, beaten egg, and Worcestershire sauce to the cooked veggies. Mix with your hands and form into 6 patties. Place on a sheet pan and set aside in refrigerator until ready to grill.

Heat charcoal for 30 minutes or heat gas grill for 10 minutes with lid closed.

Grill burgers 4 inches above medium heat (375°F) for 4 minutes on each side, or until internal temperature reaches 165°F.

Split hamburger buns and toast on grill.

Place a turkey burger on the bottom of each bun and add your favorite toppings: lettuce, tomato, mustard, and mayonnaise.
