Ingredients

Recipe makes 8 Servings

3 Lb brisket flat
2 Tbsp cumin
4 Tbsp Fiesta or Mi Comida Quick Chili Mix, divided use
1 large yellow onion, thinly sliced or julienned
28 Oz Muir Glen Organic Fire Roasted Diced Tomatoes
3 cup(s) beef stock
4 dried bay leaves
30 Oz canned pinto beans, drained and rinsed

Instructions

Season brisket liberally on all sides with cumin and 2 tablespoons of quick chili seasoning mix. Make sure any seasoning that does not stick to brisket is added to crock pot.

Add onions to bottom of crock pot followed by brisket, then tomatoes, beef stock and bay leaves.

Set crock pot to lowest setting and cook for 8 to 9 hours or until brisket is fall apart tender. Add in remaining chili seasoning, mix well to shred or break apart brisket.

To serve, add canned beans if desired, season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve with your favorite chili toppings.
