Roasted Cinnamon Pear with Vanilla Ice Cream

Recipe makes 8 Servings

4 Taylors Gold Pears, peeled, halved & cored
4 Oz butter
1 Tbsp ground cinnamon
1 Tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup(s) granulated sugar
1 Pt vanilla ice cream

Instructions

Preheat oven to 375ºF and line a sheet pan with parchment paper. Place pears cut-side down on baking sheet.

In a microwave safe bowl, add butter, cinnamon, and vanilla extract and heat until melted.

Brush or spoon butter mixture onto each pear then lightly season with salt and fresh pepper.

Sprinkle pears with sugar and and bake 30 minutes. Remove and let cool slightly.

To serve, place one pear half in a small bowl with a small scoop of ice cream and garnish with remaining caramelized sugar from baking sheet.
