Penne with Marinara Sauce, Thyme & Italian Sausage

Ingredients

Recipe makes 12 Servings

1 penne pasta
2 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1 garlic cloves, minced
1 Tbsp fresh thyme, chopped
1 Lb sweet Italian sausage links
1/2 cup(s) white wine
1 marinara sauce
1 cup(s) water

Instructions

Bring a large pot of water to a boil and cook pasta according to package instructions. Set aside.

In a large pan, heat oil over medium heat and sauté garlic and thyme until the garlic turns light yellow.

Add sausage to pan and sauté, breaking into pieces, 5 minutes or until browned and cooked through.

Add white wine to pan and reduce by half.

Add marinara sauce and water to pan and simmer 10 minutes.

Add cooked pasta and toss with sauce to thoroughly coat.

Chef's note: Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese before serving.
