Recipe makes 6 Servings

6 gala apple, rinsed and cored but leaving bottom intact
1/3 cup(s) raisins
1/3 cup(s) pecans, chopped
3 Tbsp light brown sugar
2 Tbsp salted butter

Instructions

Remove 1 inch of peel around top of each apple.

In small bowl combine, raisins, pecans, brown sugar and butter.

Fill center of each apple with 2 tablespoons of mixture.

GRILLING METHOD: Wrap each apple in heavy duty foil. Place apple packets on grill 4 to 6 inches from hot coals and cook about 10 minutes or until tender.

BAKING METHOD: Bake at 350°F for approximately 45 minutes for medium soft, 1 hour for soft apples. For extra steam, you may want to place a pan of water on the bottom rack during baking.
