Ingredients

Recipe makes 8 Servings

16 Oz cherry pie filling
2/3 cup(s) sugar, reserve 1/4 cup
1 1/2 Tbsp tapioca pudding mix
1/8 Tsp salt
1 Tsp ground cinnamon
1 Tsp lemon, juiced
1/4 Tsp almond extract
1 1/2 Tbsp flour
2 pie crust, refrigerated
1 Tbsp unsalted butter
1 1/2 Tsp 2% milk

Instructions

Heat oven to 450°F.

Combine cherry pie filling, sugar, pudding mix, salt, cinnamon, lemon and almond extract in a saucepan over medium heat until heated through.

Combine flour and 1/4 cup sugar and spread evenly over the bottom of the unbaked crust.

Gently spoon cherries on top.

Dot top with butter and add top crust and seal edges.

Brush top of pie crust with 1-2 teaspoons milk then sugar and bake 5 minutes.

Reduce temperature to 400°F and bake 25 to 30 minutes longer until golden.
