Baked Ziti Pizza Pie

Ingredients

Recipe makes 8 Servings

1 prepared pizza dough, thawed
1 tomato, diced
8 Oz sliced mushrooms
6 Oz H-E-B Pepperoni Slices
20 Oz H-E-B Ziti Pasta, prepared according to package directions
20 Oz H-E-B Marinara Pasta Sauce
2/3 Lb fresh mozzarella, cut into 1/2-inch slices

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F.

In a large oven safe bowl and roll out dough into a circle that will cover top of bowl.

In a medium size pot, add tomatoes, mushrooms and pepperoni. Stir and cook about 3 minutes or until tomatoes have released their juices and pepperoni starts to crisp.

Once tomato mixture is cooked, add pasta and sauce. Stir until combined.

Grease bowl with non-stick cooking spray, then coat bowl with mozzarella.

Pour pasta mixture in bowl then cover with prepared dough.

Bake 15 minutes or until dough has evenly browned.

Allow baked ziti pie to cool a few minutes before removing from bowl.

To remove, invert bowl on large plate and loosen dough from bowl with a knife.

Slice into pie and serve a piece of pizza crust with pasta mixture and enjoy.

Chef's Note: Use garlic butter on crust before baking for extra flavor.
