Texas Cheesesteak Sliders on Hawaiian Rolls

Recipe makes 12 Servings

1 Tbsp Olive oil
1/2 cup(s) Unsalted butter, plus additional 1/2 tablespoon
1 1/2 Lb Sirloin steak, sliced very thin
2 cup(s) Fajita vegetables
12 Hawaiian dinner rolls
3 Tsp Spicy brown mustard
2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1/2 Tsp Onion powder
12 Oz Queso dip, heated according to package instructions

Preheat oven to 400°F. In a large sauté pan, olive oil, 1/2 tablespoon unsalted butter, sirloin and peppers. Season with salt and pepper and cook about 10 to 12 minutes or until peppers are tender and meat is cooked all the way through. Set aside.

Meanwhile, in another large sauté pan, add thinly sliced sirloin and cook until well browned, about 4 minutes. Set aside.

Using a bread knife to slice rolls in half. Press on rolls and slice them all at once. Place bottom of rolls in a 9x13-inch baking pan.

In a small microwave safe bowl melt remaining butter, mustard, Worcestershire sauce and onion powder. Whisk to combine.

To make sandwiches, layer cooked beef and pepper mixture over bottom of rolls. Drizzle with melted queso and top with other half of rolls. Use a brush or spoon to liberally coat top of rolls with butter mixture.

Cover with foil and bake 15 minutes then remove foil and bake another 3 to 5 minutes.
