Roasted Duck with Texas Whiskey Glaze

8 Lb Maple Leaf Duckling, neck and giblets removed, duck washed inside and out
2 Tbsp The Real Co. Himalayan Pink Salt Shaker
1 medium yellow onion, quartered
1 H-E-B Organics Poultry Blend, rosemary, thyme and sage
8 cloves of garlic, peeled
7 Oz H-E-B Roasted Garlic and Herb Finishing Butter, softened
12 .3000 Oz Fischer & Wieser Four Star Provisions Texas Whiskey Glaze

Instructions

Preheat oven to 425°F. Place a cookie sheet large enough to hold a cooling rack on the stove.

Set duck on cooling rack, breast-side up. Season exterior with salt and spread evenly over bird.

Stuff duck cavity with onion, poultry blend and garlic cloves.

Spread softened butter on the outside of the duck then tuck any loose skin under the bird.

Roast 1 hour, flip duck over and roast breast-side down for 20 minutes.

Turn duck breast-side up, coat with Texas Whiskey Glaze and roast an additional 20 minutes. Remove stuffing before serving.
