Instructions

1
Measure first 5 ingredients into a large mixing bowl then whisk for 3 minutes. Set aside.
2
Heat a large non-stick pan to medium-high. Meanwhile, soak bread slices one at a time in egg mixture for 10 seconds then remove to drain for 1 minute.
3
Once pan is hot, add 1 slice of soaked bread and cook 2 to 4 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Set bread to the side to cool. Repeat with remaining 3 bread slices.
4
Using the same pan, turn temperature to medium. Add 2 slices of ham to the pan and cook 1 minute. Remove ham from skillet and stack on top of each other. Repeat with remaining 2 pieces of ham.
5
To build the sandwiches, return 2 pieces of French toast to the skillet. Top each with a stack of ham and 2 slices of cheese. Warm for 2 minutes. Allow cheese to melt a little then place second slice of French toast on top.
6
Cook for an additional 2 minutes then flip. Continue to cook until cheese is melted. Serve hot.
