Ingredients

Recipe makes 12 Servings

1 pie crust
4 Tbsp unsalted butter
6 granny smith apple, cored and diced
1/2 cup(s) light brown sugar
1/2 Tsp lemon, zested
2 Tbsp Argo Corn Starch
1 Tsp H-E-B Ground Nutmeg
8 Hill Country Fare Milk Caramels

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Spray a muffin tin with nonstick cooking spray.

Roll out the pie dough, cut 12 pieces with a large round cookie cutter and place pieces in the muffin tins.

In a large sauté pan, combine butter, apples, sugar, lemon zest, cornstarch and nutmeg. Cook until apples soften and liquid thickens.

Spoon the filling into individual muffin tins and top with chopped caramels.

Bake for 30 minutes.

Allow mini-pies to cool completely before serving.
