1 cup(s) H-E-B Pure Cane Extra Fine Granulated Sugar
1/4 cup(s) lime zest, from approximately 3 limes

Instructions

Preheat oven to 185ºF. Line a sheet pan with parchment paper and set aside.

Add sugar and lime zest to a bowl and combine until well incorporated, mashing zest into sugar well enough to evenly distribute essential oils.

Spread sugar out evenly on prepared pan. Bake 15 minutes then turn off oven and let sit in warm oven for an additional 45 minutes.

Transfer to a counter and cool sugar for at least 1 hour.

Once sugar has cooled, gently break up and place in an airtight container. Store in pantry for up to a month.
