Dietary cholesterol can raise the LDL (bad) cholesterol in the blood like saturated fat, so it's important to watch your cholesterol intake. The guidelines for Americans recommend we keep our intake to 300mg per day of dietary cholesterol. Foods high in cholesterol include organ meats, egg yolks and some shellfish.

How much is 300mg of cholesterol?
