Halloween doesn't have to be filled with added sugars and fat. There are still fun ways to trick or treat to a healthier you without tons of candy.
When planning a Halloween party, be creative and try to include the whole family when preparing the Halloween treats. A better for you alternative to products with added sugars are whole fruits (fresh or frozen) and low-fat dairy products. See some examples below to help your little ghosts and ghouls have a scary good time.
Monster Apple Bites
What would Halloween be without a few monsters in the mix? Sink your teeth into these bite‑sized characters before they bite you—or even worse before they run out!
Prep time: 10 minutes

Carrot Fingers
Spooky veggies for your kiddos to grab on to! To keep the almond attached, use a spoon to scrape a groove into one end of the carrots (baby carrots or full-sized). Place a slivered almond into groove and dunk into a bowl of low-fat ranch dip.
