H-E-B Responsibly Raised seafood ensures that fish are raised in an environmentally and socially responsible manner. The farming environments are certified by groups like the Global Aquaculture Alliance, which means that water testing, environmental surveying, and animal welfare are constantly monitored.
All H-E-B Organic seafood carries the European Union organic certification. The fish are raised on an organic, non-GMO diet in a safe water ecosystem with no growth hormones and no antibiotics ever. Note: The USDA has not set organic standards for seafood.
