Description

This Orti di Calabria Sicilian Sauce is made with a fresh cut vegetable blend of sauteed tomatoes, onions, carrots and celery— Using only hand-cut vegetables fresh cut from farms local to Calabria. The cooking process is always the same: starting with a good soffritto “sauté” and using always 100% Italian tomatoes. The soffritto is enriched by a generous amount of minced garlic that turns this sauce into a Italian classic . Orti di Calabria sauces are made in the Calabria region of Southern Italy. Calabria is the "toe of the boot" of the Italian peninsula.

  • Storage: Store in a cool and dry place. Once opened keep refrigerated and use within 3 days. For best before end see top of lid.
    Serving Suggestions: To enhance aroma and flavor, warm the sauce in a pan over low heat. Drain the pasta al dente, pour it directly into the sauce and cook for a few minutes. If you wish, add some fresh grated Italian cheese, as parmigiano reggiano or grana padano.
