REFRIGERATE UNUSED PORTION IN A PLASTIC OR GLASS CONTAINER. Contains: SOY- COOKING INSTRUCTIONS 1. BROWN: In hot skillet, add 1 Tbsp oil (oil optional) and approximately 1 ½ lbs of lean cubed beef, chicken, or pork. Stir fry meat until brown, add can of Hill Country Fare Guisada Sauce and stir to blend. 2. BOIL: Bring to boil at high heat uncovered, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to low and cover. 3. COOK: Cook on low 20-30 min. or until meat is tender and sauce thickens, stir occasionally. Serve hot. Hint: the longer it simmers, the better it tastes. FOR MICROWAVE: In microwave safe dish (1-1 ½ qt.) combine browned meat and Guisada Sauce. Cook at high heat until boiling (approx. 5 min.), simmer at low (defrost) for approx. 15-20 min. till tender, and sauce thickens, then serve. CARNE GUISADA TACOS Prep Time: 15 min. Cook Time: 30 min. ½ cup CANOLA OIL 2 lbs. ROUND STEAK, cut into 1-inch pieces 1 cup each: BELL PEPPER & ONION, cut into 1-inch chunks 2 GARLIC CLOVES, peeled & chopped 1 can (15 OZ) HILL COUNTRY FARE GUISADA SAUCE 1 package (12 count) FLOUR or CORN TORTILLAS 1. Heat a large skillet on high heat for 2 minutes. Add oil and cubed beef. Stir-fry meat until browned on all sides (about 5 minutes). Add the onions, bell pepper, and garlic and stir-fry for 2 more minutes. 2. Add the Hill Country Fare Guisada Sauce to the meat mixture and reduce heat to low. Cover the skillet and allow meat to cook 15 to 20 minutes or until meat is tender. Serve guisada with heated corn or flour tortillas.
