Trimmed by our certified meat cutters, H-E-B Prime 1 beef brisket flat is best cooked slow and low in the oven or smoker. Also referred to as the “first cut,” the flat is leaner than a brisket point, or second cut. For melt-in-your-mouth brisket sandwiches or just simply some slices, cook in the oven or over indirect heat in a smoker. Slice thinly across the grain after letting it rest.
