Keep frozen. Cook thoroughly to an internal temperature of 165°F. Refrigerate leftovers.- Microwave (recommended method):
Place bag in microwave. Do not open, cut or pierce bag. Microwave on HIGH for 5 - 6 minutes or to desired tenderness. As edamame cooks, the bag will rise and swell as steam forms. Let stand for 1 minute in the microwave. Once removed from the microwave, the bag will soon deflate. Contents will be hot. Carefully remove edamame from bag and serve.
Stovetop:
Bring 2 cups of water and 1 tsp salt to a boil in a large pot. Carefully add frozen edamame and return to a boil. Cook uncovered for 2 - 3 minutes, stirring occasionally. Drain, cool and serve. Avoid overcooking.
