    BLACK BEANS, SEASONING (SALT, ONION, GARLIC, SPICES, CHILI PEPPERS, NATURAL FLAVORING [HYDROLYZED CORN GLUTEN, YEAST EXTRACT, SAFFLOWER OIL, LACTIC ACID], SILICON DIOXIDE [ANTICAKING], CORN OIL).

    Allergens and safety warnings

    Beans are a natural agricultural product. Despite use of modern cleaning equipment, it is not always possible to remove all foreign material. Sort and rinse beans before cooking.
  • Quick Soak: Sort beans, rinse, place in an 8 quart pot, and add 8 cups of hot water. Bring to a boil, boil for 2 minutes, remove from heat, cover pot and soak 1 hour. Drain soak water and rinse beans. Overnight Soak: Sort beans, rinse, place in an 8 quart pot, and add 6-8 cups of cold water. Let stand overnight for at least 6-8 hours. Drain soak water and rinse beans. Cooking Directions: Prep Time: 5 minutes, Cook Time: 2 hours. Place soaked beans in an 8 qt pot, add 8 cups water and seasoning packet. Bring to a boil over medium heat, reduce heat to low and cook for 2 hours or until desired tenderness is reached.
