This Molten Lava Cake is a treat with two stories to tell. First, there’s our all-butter chocolate cake. Made with creamery butter, real melted semi-sweet chocolate, cocoa powder, whole eggs and cake flour, it tastes like the best birthday you ever had. Then there’s the treat waiting inside… our own small-batch chocolate ganache, made right in our bakery with whipping cream, semi-sweet chocolate, creamery butter and shortening. We think this decadent delight might be fun to share, but we don’t know anyone who’s ever tried.

Microwave oven (1000 watts): (heat from frozen 1 cake at a time). (1) Remove cake from plastic film. (2) Turn upside down on a microwave safe plate. Loosen cake from cup by applying pressure to center of cup with thumbs while holding the edges. Do not remove cup. (3) Microwave on high for 50-60 seconds. (4) Carefully remove cup and allow cake to rest for 1-2 minutes before serving. Conventional Oven: (heat from frozen). (1)Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. (2) Remove plastic film and place cake, right side up, in its cup on a baking sheet. (3) Heat for 15 -18 minutes. (4) Let cake stand in cup for 1-2 minutes. Invert cake on serving plate and serve. Keep frozen.
