Description
Sourced from the Lyamungo Estate that’s at the base of Mount Kilimanjaro in Northern Tanzania, these CAFE Olé by H-E-B Reserve coffee beans grow at an elevation of 3,608 – 4,560 feet in mineral-rich volcanic soil. Coffee cherries are picked by hand and processed using a pulper to remove the skin. From there, the beans are moved to fermentation tanks for 16 hours, where they’re brushed into water channels to remove any remaining coating. After laying out on drying tables, they’re carefully checked before being placed onto raised sun-drying tables. Depending on the weather, the drying process can take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks. Bring home the gourmet smoothness of Tanzania coffee. Although a French press or a pour-over brewer is recommended, a drip coffeemaker works as well.
