Balsamic Vinegar of Modena

H-E-B and Central Market vinegars are exclusively made in the traditional area of Modena, Italy.  All H-E-B vinegars are quality-certified by AIB, the Italian Balsamic Tasting Association, guaranteeing superior quality ingredients and taste. Balsamic vinegar is made from white Trebbiano grape must (juice containing stems, seeds and skins) and cooked until deep, dark and rich. Then, the vinegar is aged in barrels, like wine.

Balsamic vinegar is enjoyed in salads, recipes, used as reductions, drizzled right over cheese and even added as a subtle flavor to many desserts. The question is, how do you know you're using the vinegar needed for the food you're about to eat? Each of our balsamic vinegars are given a leaf rating by The Leaf System—an independently certified grading system that allows you to identify different qualities of the vinegar, like taste and texture so you can choose the right vinegar for the right occasion!
