About Marieke Gouda
Women-owned and operated, Marieke Gouda was founded in 2006 by Marieke Penterman. After seeing a need and an opportunity to produce raw milk, farmstead gouda, she and her husband Rolf established their headquarters in Thorp, Wisconsin. Makers of 7 quarter wheels of gouda that are aged for at least 60 days — Honey Clover, Holy Trinity, Smoked Cumin, Thorp, Jalapeño, Truffle and Mature — they focus on flavor quality and were the most awarded domestic cheese at the World Cheese Awards.
