  • You'll Need: 1/2 cup vegetable oil or melted butter. 3 large eggs. 1 cup milk (To Make Non-Dairy: Use alternative milk or water). Baker's Tip: Chilling your cake first makes frosting easier to spread. Find our favorite frosting recipes and inspiration at BakeWith.us/frosting. Directions: 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease bottoms (but not sides) of cake pan(s). For cupcakes, use greased paper liners in pans. 2. Combine oil or melted butter, eggs, and milk and beat with mixer until frothy. Add mix, then beat on medium speed until batter thickens, slightly - about 1 minute. Scrape bottom of the bowl to evenly distribute the confetti. Pour batter into pan(s): fill cupcake wells half full. 3. Bake according to chart at right or until golden brown and a tooth pick inserted into the center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes before loosening edges and turning out of pan. Cool completely before frosting. Bake Times: 24 cupcakes: 18-22 minutes. Two 8 Inch Rounds: 28-32 minutes. Two 9 Inch Rounds: 28-32 minutes. One 9 Inch x 13 Inch Pan: 26-28 minutes. Mix it Up With: Confetti cookies. Think Outside The Cake Box: Confetti cookies are the perfect on-the-go treat.
