Lentils. Records f- You Will Need: 15.5 ounces Hurst lentils, 8 cups of water, 2 tbsp. of olive oil, contents of seasoning packet. 1. Rinse lentils in a strainers. 2. Place lentils in a three quart saucepan, add water, oil and contents of seasoning packet. 3. Bring to a boil over high heat, cover and simmer on low heat for 30 to 35 minutes. 4. Ladle lentils as a soup or use a slotted spoon to serve lentils as a side dish. Edible dry beans are a raw agricultural product, and come to us from the farmer. Although we carefully clean these beans, stones and debris may be present. Please rinse beans and remove any debris before using.
