  • Chocolate Pecan Pie Prep Time: 20 minutes; Cook Time: 1 hour; Total Time: 1 h 20 m; Serves: 8 Ingredients: 1 pie crust (9 in) 1 cup light brown sugar, firmly packed ⅔ cup light corn syrup 4 eggs 1 ½ Tsp vanilla ½ Tsp salt 2 Tbsp unsalted butter ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips 1 ½ cups H-E-B® Select Ingredients™ Pecan Halves Optional: Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream Instructions: 1. Bake pie crust as instructed. Once pie crust is baked, set aside. 2. Pre-heat oven to 350°F. 3. Combine brown sugar, corn syrup, eggs, vanilla and salt in a large mixing bowl and mix until blended. 4. Combine butter and chocolate chips in a large microwave-safe bowl and microwave for 30 seconds. If not completely melted, continue to microwave for 15 second intervals until product is smooth. Stir thoroughly after each interval. 5. Stir egg mixture into the melted chocolate. Add pecans to the mixture, then pour into baked pie crust. 6. Place pie in oven and bake 40 to 50 minutes until a knife inserted in center comes out clean. 7. Allow to cool. Cut pie into 8 slices and serve. *Chef's note: pairs well with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
