Description

Trimmed by our certified meat cutters to remove the fatty deckle, this whole beef brisket from H-E-B is best cooked low and slow in the oven or over indirect heat in a smoker. It comes from the area of the cow that’s just above the front legs, so needs some time to tenderize. For maximum flavor, season the brisket beforehand with your favorite dry rub or sauce, or simply salt and pepper. After letting the brisket rest, slice thinly across the grain and savor the rich beefy taste.

• Whole beef brisket

• Center cut from above the front shanks and below the chuck
