Ingredients

Recipe makes 6 Servings

1 Tbsp canola oil
1 Lb lean ground beef
7 Oz chopped onion
1 1/4 Oz chili seasoning
15 Oz pinto beans
14 1/2 Oz whole tomatoes with no added salt, chopped
8 Oz tomato sauce

Instructions

Heat a large soup pot over high heat for 2 minutes.

Add the oil and beef to the heated pot and stir-fry for 3 minutes.

Add the chopped onion and continue to stir-fry for 2 more minutes. Drain any remaining fat.

Stir in the chili seasoning, pinto beans, tomatoes and tomato sauce.

Bring the chili to a boil, reduce the heat to low, cover and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
