Roasted Jalapeño Cream Cheese

3 medium jalapeños, approximately 6 to 7 oz., sliced into rings
2 Tbsp Rustico di casa Asaro Extra Virgin Olive Oil, plus more as needed for coating jalapeños
8 Oz H-E-B Whipped Plain Cream Cheese Spread

Instructions

Preheat oven broiler to high and position rack approximately 6 inches below broiler. Line a sheet pan with foil and set aside briefly.

Toss jalapeños with a pinch of salt and olive oil, then arrange on prepared sheet pan. Broil until jalapeños are nicely charred and roasted.

Remove from oven and cool completely before making cream cheese.

Once jalapeños are cooled, transfer to a food processor and add cream cheese. Pulse until well blended and creamy. Season to taste and chill for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.

Chef's Note: Spread on toasted bagels or use as a base for pimento cheese or any other dip.
