Pork And Pepperoni Pizza Burgers

Ingredients

Recipe makes 4 Servings

1 Lb ground pork
2/3 cup(s) sliced pepperoni, chopped
1/2 cup(s) Italian bread crumbs
1/2 cup(s) pizza sauce
1/2 Tsp oregano leaves
4 mozzarella cheese, slices
4 hamburger buns
4 Tbsp mayonnaise
1 greenhouse tomatoes, sliced thin

Instructions

Heat charcoal 30 minutes until covered with a light layer of gray ash or heat gas grill on high 10 minutes with lid closed.

Blend ground pork, chopped pepperoni, bread crumbs, pizza sauce and oregano leaves in a medium bowl.

Shape mixture into four 1/2 inch thick burgers.

Grill patties 5 minutes per side.

Remove burgers from heat when a meat thermometer inserted horizontally into the center of the burger reads 160°F and top with a slice of cheese.

Spread bun with mayonnaise and top with burger and sliced tomato.
