Instructions

1
Reserve 12 red M&M’s and set aside. Chop remaining M&M’s and set aside.
2
In a heatproof bowl set over a saucepan of barely simmering water, melt chocolate chips until smooth.
3
Meanwhile, heat cream in a small saucepan set over medium heat until simmering. Stir into the melted chocolate.
4
Stir in butter until melted then fold in chopped M&M’s. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or up to 6 hours.
5
Using a small ice cream scoop or melon baller, shape chocolate into twelve (1 1/2-inch) balls (reserve any remaining mixture for another use). Place on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet and refrigerate for 1 to 2 hours or until firm.
6
Using two forks, dip chilled truffles into melted dark chocolate candy coating, allowing excess to drip back into the bowl. Return to parchment paper–lined baking sheet.
7
Immediately adhere candy eyeballs, reserved red M&M’s for noses, and pretzels as antlers on the truffles to resemble reindeer. Refrigerate for 30 to 40 minutes or until chocolate is set and hardened.
