Garlic and Hatch Pepper Cracked Bread

Ingredients

Recipe makes 8 Servings

4 Oz salted butter
1 Tbsp garlic, minced
1/4 cup(s) fresh Italian parsley, chopped coarsely
1 roasted Hatch pepper, stem removed, minced
1 loaf ciabatta or any large loaf bread
1 1/2 cup(s) H-E-B Hatch Pepper Cheese, shredded

Preheat oven to 350ºF.

Place butter, garlic, parsley and minced Hatch pepper in a small saucepan over low heat until butter melts. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Set aside.

Create a diamond pattern on top of bread by making diagonal cuts to form 1" diamonds. Do NOT cut all the way through the bread (leave the base of the bread intact).

Pour butter garlic mixture evenly over cuts, peeling back the edges a bit to ensure butter seeps into bread evenly.

Cover with Hatch cheese and bake until cheese is fully melted, 10 to 15 minutes. Serve hot.
