1 cup(s) Higher Harvest By H-E-B Dairy Free Vanilla Protein Yogurt
4 large eggs
1 cup(s) Silk Dairy Free Heavy Whipping Cream
1/2 cup(s) maple syrup, plus more as needed for serving
1 Tbsp vanilla extract
1/2 Tsp sea salt
1 Tbsp fresh orange zest
2 Tsp cinnamon
16 Oz bakery French bread, sliced approximately 2 inches thick, plus more as needed

Instructions

In a blender, combine yogurt, eggs, dairy free whipping cream, maple syrup, vanilla, salt, orange zest, and cinnamon. Blend until smooth and pour custard into a casserole dish.

Dip a slice of bread in custard until fully soaked. Transfer to a plate. Repeat process with each additional slice, adding soaked bread to the plate. Set aside.

Place a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.

Spray pan with non-stick spray and place 2 to 3 slices of bread in the pan. Cook for 5 to 7 minutes per side or until nicely caramelized. Repeat process with remaining slices.

Garnish with powdered sugar and serve with maple syrup.

Chef's Note: Allow each slice of bread to soak for at least 1 to 2 minutes to fully soak.
