Apple Bacon Strudel

Ingredients

Recipe makes 8 Servings

12 Oz frozen puff pastry
1/2 cup(s) chopped pecans
4 1/2 Oz Better Than Good Bacon Jam
1/2 Lb bacon, cooked and chopped
3 granny smith apple
1 medium egg, beaten
1/4 cup(s) coarse granulated sugar

Instructions

Thaw puff pastry in refrigerator per instructions on package.

Preheat oven to 375ºF.

Roll out puff pastry on a floured surface then cut into rectangles of matching size.

Place 1/2 of rectangles on a baking sheet.

Mix nuts, bacon jam, bacon and apples together and spoon onto rectangles on baking sheet.

Using a pastry brush, brush edges of dough with beaten egg.

Top with remaining rectangles and seal by pressing edges together.

Brush egg over top layer and make decorative slashes in pastry.

Sprinkle with coarse sugar and bake 15-25 minutes, depending on size of strudels.
