Ingredients
Precooked Parboiled Brown Rice.- Stove: Add water and rice, stir. Add oil if desired. Boil water, reduce heat to medium, cover and simmer 10 minutes or until water is absorbed. Remove from heat. Fluff with fork. Microwave: Place water and rice in microwave-safe bowl. Add oil if desired. Cover, microwave on high. Wait 5 minutes, or until water is absorbed, then fluff. Servings: 2; Rice: 1 cup + Water: 1 cup. 4 servings; 2 cups rice + 2 cups water. 6 servings; 3 cups rice + 3 cups water. Microwave Cook Times: 2 servings = 7 minutes. 4 servings = 11 minutes. 6 servings = 15 minutes. Microwave ovens vary. Cooking times are approximate. Mix it up. Make it yours!
