Ingredients
Cane Sugar, Garlic Powder, Salt, Cornstarch and Black Pepper.- Lumpiang Shanghai Recipe: (Makes 90 pieces): 1 pouch (40 g) Mama Sita's Fried Spring Roll Seasoning (Lumpiang Shanghai) Mix. 1.1 lbs (1/2 kg) ground meat (Substitutes: ground chicken, boiled and flaked fish), 1 cup (120 g) finely chopped carrots, 1-1/4 cup (120 g) finely chopped onions, 2 tbsp (10 g) finely chopped spring onions, 1 beaten egg, 45 pieces spring roll wrapper (8 inches in diameter) , 2 tbsp (20 g) all purpose flour, 2 cups (500 ml) cooking oil. 1. In a bowl, combine Mama Sita's Fried Spring Roll Seasoning (Lumpiang Shanghai) Mix, ground meat, carrots, onions, spring onions and beaten egg. 2. Mix well. Scoop 1 tbsp of the mixture onto the spring roll wrapper and roll tightly. Seal the edges with water or egg white. Repeat process until you have 45 spring rolls. 3. Cut rolls in half and dip both ends in some flour. 4. Deep-fry in hot oil until golden brown and drain on paper towel. Serve with Mama Sita's Sweet Chili Sauce or Mama Sita's Sweet & Sour Sauce.
