Keep refrigerated.- Stovetop: Place chicken hearts in a stockpot and cover with cold water. Slowly bring to a simmer over low heat. Skim gray foam from the top. Add chopped vegetables if desired. Add more water if necessary. Add seasonings and cover. Simmer over low heat for 1 hour or until tender. Other option: Fry chicken hearts.
