SAN ANTONIO, TX (May 9, 2016) – Beginning in May, H-E-B will launch partnerships with Shipt and Instacart offering the convenience of grocery delivery to customers in the San Antonio area. H-E-B customers in San Antonio will now have the option to utilize personal shoppers who will hand-select desired items and deliver groceries in as little as one hour.
Instacart will expand service into San Antonio beginning on May 12. Shipt will launch in San Antonio, exclusively with H-E-B beginning on May 25.
In addition to providing grocery delivery from H-E-B stores, Shipt and Instacart, two of the leading app-based grocery delivery services, will also partner with Central Market to provide on-demand grocery delivery.

Grocery delivery services have grown in popularity in recent years by allowing customers the convenience of shopping from anywhere. Companies like Shipt and Instacart connect H-E-B customers with personal shoppers who shop for and deliver groceries straight to customers home.
Customers who sign up for an annual membership with Shipt prior to the May 25 launch will receive $50 in grocery credit.
Additionally in May, H-E-B will launch curbside pick-up at the H-E-B plus! located at Bandera and Loop 1604. Customers will be able to visit hebtoyou.com to shop and schedule a pick-up for the same day, orders received by 1pm will be ready for pick in time for dinner.
H-E-B's launch of grocery delivery services and curbside pick-up in San Antonio adds to a suite of growing eCommerce options available to H-E-B customers. Last fall, H-E-B announced more than 50,000 shelf stable foods, drugstore and general merchandise products are now available to purchase and ship at heb.com. Customer orders can be shipped throughout Texas, throughout the United States (with the exception of California) and to military bases worldwide.
