How do we celebrate Cinco de Mayo? With parties, parades, music, family get-togethers, and a whole lot of guacamole. In fact, on May 5 we eat more than 14 million pounds of it! That's 28 million avocados, and enough guacamole to cover the entire Alamo 24 inches deep. Or the field and end zones at Texas Stadium 20 inches deep. No wonder it's the biggest day for avocado consumption. |
