Proudly Serving Texas for 110 Years - Patriotic

Ever since we opened our first store in 1905, one thing has remained the same - our commitment to the Partners and communities we serve.

Throughout 2015, we're celebrating our 110th anniversary with a series of individual words that represents the culture at H-E-B. In July, our feature was on Patriotic.

Each morning, the men and women in the U.S. Armed Forces go to work to serve our Nation and defend our freedom. For that we are truly grateful and consider it an honor to serve them in return.

Last year alone, through corporate and customer donations, we were able to give more than $2.2 million to assist these brave individuals and their families through our H-E-B Operation Appreciation program. With this contribution, we built homes for wounded Service Members through Homes Built for Heroes and partnerships with Operation Finally Home and the Gary Sinise Foundation. We worked with the Military Child Education Coalition to support students affected by family separation and transition. And we funded grief counseling through the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors.

Words cannot express our gratitude for the dedicated service of our active duty Service Members, Veterans and their families. Through these programs and more, we proudly give back to those who sacrifice so much for our country.
