2 Lb whole chicken
1/2 Tsp garlic powder
1 Tsp salt
1 Tsp H-E-B Pure Ground Black Pepper
1/3 cup(s) white wine
2 Tbsp H-E-B Select Ingredients Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Instructions

Remove neck and giblets if applicable. Rinse and pat chicken dry with paper towels. Sprinkle with garlic powder, salt and pepper.

In a large Dutch oven with a lid, heat oil on medium-high.

Add whole chicken, breast-side down, and sear 5 minutes until browned. Turn chicken over and add white wine and enough water to fill 1/4 of dutch oven.

Cover, reduce heat to Medium-Low, and cook 1 hour or until thermometer inserted in the thickest part of the thigh (avoid touching bone) reads 170°F.
