Ingredients

Recipe makes 40 Servings

1/2 cup(s) cane sugar
1/2 cup(s) unsalted butter
1 Tsp pure vanilla extract
2 large grade AA eggs, beaten
2 1/2 cup(s) H-E-B The Baker's Scoop All Purpose Flour, sifted
2 Tsp clabber girl baking powder
1/2 Tsp iodized salt

Instructions

In a large electric mixing bowl, cream sugar with butter until light and fluffy.

Beat in vanilla, eggs, flour, baking powder, and salt.

Divide dough into 3 balls.

Place in sealable plastic bags and chill 3 to 4 hours before rolling.

Preheat oven to 375ºF and grease two cookie sheets.

Using a rolling pin, roll dough out into 1/4 inch thickness and cut desired shapes with cookie cutters.

Use a metal spatula to transfer cookies to prepared baking sheets.

Top with colored sugar if desired.

Bake approximately 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned.

Remove from cookie sheet and cool. Decorate with icing, coconut, candies, or whatever you like.
