Instructions

1
Bring a pot of water to a boil and cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside. (Toss a little oil into drained pasta to keep it from hardening and sticking.)
2
In the same large pot, add hot dogs and cover with water. Bring to a simmer and cook until plump. Meanwhile, prepare the cheese sauce.
3
In a sauce pan, add bacon and onions. Stir-fry until bacon starts to crisp and onions are soft, about 5-6 minutes.
4
Add milk and heavy cream to bacon and onions. Bring to a simmer. *Note: Do not leave unattended, milk mixture could boil over.
5
Continue to stir milk sauce until it begins to thicken, then add cheese and whisk to combine. When cheese sauce is creamy, remove from heat. Pour over the cooked pasta. Toss to combine and set aside.
6
Build the dogs by placing hot dog into a bun. Scoop a generous portion of mac and cheese and place on top of hot dog. Garnish with your favorite condiments and serve hot.
