Garlic and Herb Grilled Asparagus

Recipe makes 4 Servings

1 Lb fresh asparagus, about the same thickness as a pencil
2 Tbsp H-E-B Sunflower Oil with Garlic & Herb Flavors
1 Tsp orange, zest only
1 Tsp fresh garlic, finely minced
1/2 Tsp sea salt, coarsely ground

Instructions

Heat grill to medium-high heat.

Remove woody ends from asparagus with a knife or by breaking off the bottom portion of each stalk wherever it breaks with light pressure.

Drizzle with oil and toss with orange zest, garlic and salt.

When grill is hot, place asparagus on grill just long enough to char slightly and turn asparagus bright green. Stalks should be tender/firm, but not mushy. Turn occasionally to char evenly and remove from grill.

Serve as an appetizer or a side dish. Chef's Note: This recipe can also be done under the broiler - place on a sheet pan close to broiler element and cook to desired crispness.
