Ingredients

Recipe makes 4 Servings

1 Lb 80/20 ground beef, formed into 4 patties, 1/4 inch thick
1 Tsp Via Roma Espresso Instant Coffee
4 slices American cheese
4 glazed donuts, cut in half horizontally like a bun
4 slices H-E-B Center Cut Bacon, cooked

Heat a large skillet over medium-high. Add patties and sprinkle with salt, pepper and powdered espresso. Cook 3 to 4 minutes, then flip, repeat seasoning, top with cheese; cook an additional 3 minutes.

Remove from pan and set aside. Reduce heat to low and add donuts cut-side down to pan and toast. Cook until all 8 pieces have been toasted; remove from pan.

Build burgers to taste using the donuts as the bun. Top with bacon and your favorite condiments.

Chef's Note: Breakfast sausage can be used in place of beef and topped with a fried egg.
