  • 1 Medium head of green cabbage, core removed and large diced
  • 4 oz English peas, blanched and chilled
  • 2 tsp Kosher salt
  • 2 tsp Ground black pepper
  • 2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Garam masala

Instructions

  1. Heat a large heavy bottom pot over medium heat and add oil. When hot add onion, garlic, and carrots and cook, stirring frequently, for 1 to 2 minutes.
  2. Add in cabbage and peas and cook for 3 to 4 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add in salt, pepper, turmeric, and garam masala and stir to combine. Add in 1/2 cup water and cover. Reduce heat to low and cook for 10 minutes.
  3. Check occasionally and stir to prevent browning. When cabbage is fork tender it is ready to serve.
