Traditional Meatloaf with Cracker Crumbs

Unsaved Traditional Meatloaf with Cracker Crumbs

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground pork 90% lean
  • 2 lb 90% lean ground beef sirloin
  • 1/2 Large fresh yellow onion, chopped
  • 2 Large eggs
  • 2 tbsp Yellow mustard
  • 4 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 oz Saltine crackers, placed in gallon size bag and crushed by hand
  • 3 Garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 cup Whole milk
  • 2 tsp Kosher salt
  • 1 tsp Ground black pepper
  • 4 White onions

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375˚F.
  2. Line a sheet pan with foil and then cover with parchment paper.
  3. In a large bowl, mix all ingredients until just incorporated. Do not over work.
  4. Place meatloaf mixture in middle of sheet pan and form into a 10-inch long and 3-inch tall loaf. (Size of meat loaf will affect cook time.)
  5. Bake for 45 to 60 minutes or until cooked through. For a great crust, turn on broiler for last 2 to 3 minutes of cooking.
  6. Allow to cool for 3 to 5 minutes then slice and serve with your favorite sides. Garnish with green onions if desired.
