Texas Sugar Cookies

Ingredients
- 1 cup Unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups Granulated sugar
- 2 Large eggs
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- 4 cups All purpose flour
- 1 tsp Kosher salt
- 4 tsp Double acting baking powder
Instructions
- Using a hand mixer or counter-top mixer cream butter and sugar together.
- Add eggs one at a time and beat into creamed butter and sugar. Add vanilla into butter mixture and beat until mixture is smooth.
- In a bowl mix all dry ingredients together. Add dry ingredients to butter mixture. Thoroughly mix together to form a smooth dough.
- Chill for one hour before baking.
- When ready to bake cookies, preheat oven to 350ᵒF. Roll out dough on a floured surface to ¼ inch thick. Cut into desired shapes and bake until golden brown (about 9 - 12 minutes, depending on size and shape of cookie cutters used).
