Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375ºF.
  2. Place beets in a large bowl of water and scrub well to remove any dirt from the surface. Peel and cut into large chunks (fourths or eighths, depending on size of beets). Transfer to a shallow casserole dish.
  3. Mix sake, Spicy Asian Pepper seasoning, salt and sugar together. Pour evenly over beets.
  4. Cover tightly with foil and bake for 40 to 45 minutes, or until tender. Garnish with mint and Thai basil, and serve.
